Nemat Kharboutli: "It really made every family question how they were raising their kids. It was unforeseen, unheard of and unthinkable."
Nemat Kharboutli grew up in Punchbowl. After high school she went to university and engaged in community work. She is married to Mouhamed Kharboutli and is the daughter of Dr Jamal Rifi.
Mouhamed Kharboutli: "The Lebanese community were under attack after that case. We were categorized, vilified, because of the actions of these guys."
Mouhamed Kharboutli's parents came to Australia in 1975 to escape the Lebanese Civil War. He went to Punchbowl Boys High and is married to Nemat Kharboutli.
