Australian Survivor is the Australian adaptation of the international blockbuster reality game show Survivor. Like the other versions of the format, Australian Survivor features a group of contestants who are left behind in an isolated located where they need to get essentials like food, water, and shelter for themselves. Meanwhile, the all compete in varying challenges in order to win awards or to gain immunity for the next elimination round. The contestants themselves will take regular votes on who should leave the location next with the last person left getting the title of “Sole Survivor” and a money prize of A$ 500'000. Besides the standard Australian Survivor format, the Network Ten also produced an All-Star edition featuring former contestants. Production of a second edition of this version was postponed for months due to the coronavirus pandemic in the first half of 2020.
