Britain's Got Talent, which is often referred to as BGT as well, is a British talent and reality show for television and is part of the Got Talent franchise. People of any age and with any kind of talent can apply for an audition for the show, in which they will compete against each other in order to get the most votes from the audience as well as from the panel of judges. The winner gets to perform at the Royal Variety Performance in front of members of the Royal Family, as well as a GBP 250'000 cash prize. Britain's Got Talent was created by Simon Cowell, creator of The X Factor and executive at Sony Music. The Got Talent formula has grown into a global phenomenon, with franchises in countries like America and the Netherlands, but also Afghanistan, Ecuador and Romania, to name just a few. The show has also grown into a serie of best-selling music albums and a live tour.
