Kiera and Carlos work together to solve a series of strange bank robberies that are masterminded by a recently escaped Lucas who has reteamed with Liber8. When Kiera finds that the corporate victims of the crimes are unwilling to cooperate with her investigation, the question becomes not what Liber8 was after but more importantly, why? Carlos does his best to not deal with the reality shattering truth of his partner Kiera's demise but finds that no matter how many empties he wakes up to, the answer isn't at the bottom of a bottle. Meanwhile, Alec is shocked when he learns that Escher was his father and that he left his vast corporation, Piron Corp, to him.
