Mike spends a day at the Kentucky Equine Research facility where he assists in a fitness test for one of the horses, & collects poop & urine samples from another horse, all in order to produce healthier, more athletic horses.
Mike joins the team at Purdue University's Forensic Entomology Lab as they dig through pig carcasses searching for maggots & other insects that can provide the key to unlocking the question of how long a "body" has been dead.
Mike travels to Mobile, Alabama & meets Johnny Sullivan, an old school barber, & learns some of the tricks of the hair cutting trade. Then Mike stops by the Ostrom Rd Landfill in California to work as a landfill operator.
Mike travels to Moorhead, Minnesota, to spend the day working as a water softener technician. Then Mike heads to the Westin St. Francis hotel in San Francisco where he takes on the job of a coin washer.
Mike visits the Chicago Botanic Garden where he helps clear milfoil weeds to make room for native plants to grow, cleans out a mulching machine & counts & sorts & dries seeds before filing them away in a doomsday vault.
Mike travels to New Mexico to work with the state Department of Game & Fish, taking part in the job of a Fish Squeezer. Then Mike heads to Virginia to practice the ancient healing art of pet acupuncture on a goat named Lilly.
