First Dates UK

First Dates UK, also often referred to as simply First Dates, is a British reality show written for television and narrated by English musician and actor, best known for his 1974 hit single “Pinball”. The show follows a group of couples, consisting of people who have never met each other before, as they go on a date at the Paternoster Chop House restaurant in Central London. At the end of each episode, the couples are interviewed separately and asked whether or not they would like to see each other again. During the filming of the episodes, the restaurant is closed to the public. The barman and the waiting staff are no full-time restaurant employees, but are recruited for the series is being filmed. The restaurant's maître d'hotel does actually work there as the maître and occasionally offers pieces to viewers on the nature of love, romance, and dating, most of the time from the perspective of the staff as they wait on the show's couples.
