Highway Patrol is an Australian factual series created for television by New-Zealand television production company Greenstone TV (Motorway Patrol, Neighbours at War) for the Seven Network. The series follows several members of the Victoria Police highway patrol as they intercept traffic and other criminal offenders on the roads across Victoria, in south-eastern Australia. This often involves major road accidents, high-speed chases, and confrontations with drunk drivers. As a result of the show's popularity, four Highway Patrol Specials have been produced, as well. These consist of compilations of the most memorable scenes from previous seasons of the show. The producers also interview the highway patrol members involved to talk about some of the most famous faces and most colourful cases. From the outrageous to the downright dumb, the officers tell all in these specials.
