Mock The Week

Mock the Week is a comedy panel game show from Great Britain, which was created by British television producer Dan Patterson and his writing partner Mark Leveson, who were also the brains behind the hugely popular improvisation show Whose Line Is It Anyway? The programme is presented by Irish comedian Dara Ó Briain and sees six guest comedians divided into two teams to perform in a game show setting. The questions relate to regional and international news items taken from the week prior to each episode, and are interspersed with stand-up routines and improvisational comedy. The panellitst used on Mock the Week are mostly comedians with English comedian and presenter Hugh Dennis (Outnumbered, Not Going Out As Toby) as a regular panellist who has appeared in every episode since 2005. Other frequent regulars of the show include Scottish impressionist and comedian Rory Bremner (Rory Bremner... Who Else?, Bird and Fortune), English comedian and writer Andy Parsons (Parsons and Naylor's Pul-Out Sections, Week Ending), and English comedian and television presenter Russell Howard (Russell Howard's Good News, The Russell Howard Hour).
