Part 1- Rick has loved blues music since he first encountered it in the early 1960s. Now he takes viewers on a fascinating journey through the Mississippi Delta - the birthplace of the blues - seeking out his favourite music as well as the food that is ingrained in its heritage. Rick encounters a host of characters and communities who help to paint a colourful picture of Delta life and ‘down home’ cooking.
