Seatbelt Psychic was a controversial reality show for television produced by American basic cable channel Lifetime, featuring Thomas John Flanagan, more popularly known as Thomas John, an alleged medium and former Chicago drag queen. The premise of the show revolves around John starring as a ridesharing company driver who surprises allegedly unsuspecting passengers with messages from deceased relatives. Over the course of show, doubts arose regarding John's true capacity as a medium, as many of the passengers in John's car were actually actors, several of which can be found on the website IMDB. The suspicion is that they were hired to ride with the Seatbelt Psychic, but that they were probably not acting when talking to him. True or false, it's up in the air, but Seatbelt Psychic sure makes for entertaining television.
