Survive AotearoaS1 Ep11 - 4wdriving Hikurangi

Barrie and Chris are in Ngati Porou territory. Being the first place to see the sun, the boys hike up Maunga Hikurangi to watch the sunrise. As they start their decent, they take a wrong turn and end up heading down the wrong side of the maunga. They must make their way back to civilisation at the bottom of the mountain. This area has a strong historical and spiritual presence to be respected. The boys may encounter obstacles that don’t necessarily require physical strength but a strong spiritual understanding.
