On Tastes Like Home this week Catherine Fulvio looks back at her South Korean experience where as well as creating new dishes based on the flavours that she tasted on her travels.
In this episode Catherine got to meet orphaned Grizzly bears Grinder and Coola in Grouse Mountain, took a trip to the famous Granville Island market and tasted Nanaimo bars a Canadian dessert.
Tastes Like Home is a little more spicey as it looks back at Catherine's time in Dubai. In this episode Catherine will show viewers how to cook a number of middle eastern flavours.
Tastes Like Home has a very Spanish theme as it looks back at Catherine's time in Spain where she visited San Sebastian and Barcelona and creates new dishes based on the flavours she tasted there.
Catherine will show us a new take on the full Irish breakfast with potato cakes, along with new recipes she developed from her experiences in Portland; slow cooked pulled pork in Boa Buns.
We meet Alexandra Ikkert and her family in Blanchardstown who are originally from Russia where she shows Catherine how to make her Seafood Chowder and later we see Catherine visit Alexandra’s eldest sister Anna in Playa del Carmen, Mexico along with now husband Gabriel Morales.
This week Catherine will teach us how to cook sweet lovers delight, Maple Taffy, and for the cheese lovers, Irish Cheddar Cheese Curd Poutine with smoked bacon and whiskey gravy followed by a Spiced Bramley Apple Cake with Maple Whiskey Glaze – mouth watering.
Catherine will teach viewers some new recipes including Biltong Bru-schetta with Irish Farmhouse Cheese, Nectarines and Balsamic Glaze and a Boerewors, Parmesan polenta with a charred onion and mustard gravy. All of these dishes are inspired by local dishes and flavours Catherine experienced whilst visiting South Africa.
Chef Catherine Fulvio travels to Donegal to meet Ann to find out who is living away from home. Later Ann rustles up the dishes that remind James and Monica of home in Donegal - snowballs and an apple pie. Catherine then travels to the US in hope to replicate Ann's dishes and bring a taste like home over to James and Monica.
Chef Catherine Fulvio gets a guided tour of Old Town of Tvrda and the Old City Walls, she visits a regional wine cellar in the Old Town and tastes wine from the Danube region made by wine producers from Osijek. Catherine also listens to some traditional music on a mandolin like instrument called a tamburica.
Chef Catherine Fulvio travels to Newfoundland and goes whale watching in search for Humpbacks and Minke whales, she visits Quidi Vidi village and Cape Spear Lighthouse and 'The Rooms Museum' which houses an exhibit showing when and where the Irish arrived and settled in Newfoundland.
Chef Catherine Fulvio travel to Faro, Portugal to meet Joao and Teresa to find out who is living away from home, Joao and his friend Tiago first made friends on a Portuguese beach aged three years and have been friends ever since, but now that friendship has extended to their wives and kids.
Chef Catherine Fulvio travels to Boston and visits the iconic Cheers Pub on Beacon Hill, previously known as the Bull and Finch Pub, she gets to experience Oyster Happy Hour in Boston's Marliave Restaurant, as well as walking the famous grounds of the prestigious Harvard University where Sarah-Jo worked.
Chef Catherine Fulvio meets Rosemary Wilson at Drimnagh Castle where they discuss how Rosemary's daughter Una lives in Paris. Rosemary teaches Catherine how to make her daughter Una's favourite dish, stout soused herrings.

On Tastes Like Home it's a little different this week, as we receive a request from husband and wife Jason and Maire in Kerry - Marie is Swedish but now lives in the Gap of Dunlop and she is about gave birth to twin boys and is keen to learn who to make her dad’s Smogsboard with meatballs so she can teach her sons in time.
