The final Masterclass is in pargetting, a form of ornamental plasterwork. Johanna Welsh is the third generation of Pargeters in her family and learnt her trade from her Father. She tasked the students to create a panel featuring oak leaves and acorns.

Today's Masterclass is in Stone Carving with Tutor Zoe Wilson. Who went on to complete an apprenticeship in stonemasonry and letter. Zoe wants each student to carve an Ivy Leaf in Bath Stone.

Blacksmithing is on the agenda today for our students. Showing them the ropes is blacksmith, Phil Carter, who teaches at the National School of Blacksmithing and has worked on smithing teams for Chatsworth House, Grimsthorpe Castle and a Viking Ship Restoration Project.
