Annabelle faces challenges in her new job at the embassy. Avshalom is unable to get back into writing. When his dad comes for a visit, he obsessively searches for a spare part for a blender while teaching Avshalom an important lesson about shame.
56:52Annabelle tries to persuade Avshalom to wear a suit for an upcoming event at the embassy. She invites an important author for a Shabbat dinner, during which suspicions are raised, secrets are revealed, and racism and hypocrisy arise as a result.
52:53Annabelle takes a pregnancy test which she hides from Avshalom. Avshalom celebrates Annabelle’s birthday by bringing the Israeli beach to Paris. Uri’s grandparents take him to a cabin in the forest, a trip that soon becomes less than idyllic.
56:38Annabelle sets an ultimatum for Avshalom regarding her contract extension, making him choose whether or not they will remain in Paris. Avshalom returns from a visit in Israel and doesn’t know how to tell Annabelle he wants to go back there for good.
