Flashpoint

Flashpoint is a TV show on Seven. Flashpoint is a Canadian police drama created by Canadian actor and screenwriter Mark Ellis (Drk Oracle, Remembrance) and Canadian actress and film maker Stephanie Morgan (The Sweet Hereafter, Maelström) for CTV, and later CBS and Ion Television. The series follows the Strategic Response Unit, a fictional elite tactical unit within a Canadian metropolitan police force as they work to resolve extreme situations, including hostage-taking, bomb threats, and dealing with heavily armed criminals. The location of the force is not explicitly mentioned, but the unit is based on the Toronto Police Emergency Task Force). Flashpoint features a largely Canadian cast, including Italian-Canadian actor and director Enrico Colantoni (Person of Interest, Remedy) as lead character Sergeant Gregory Parker, Canadian actor David Paetkau (Whistler, Final Destination) as Sam Braddock, and Canadian musician and actor Hugh Dillon (Yellowstone, Twin Peaks) as Ed Lane. The program has been available since 2023. A total of 10 episodes have been broadcast, most recently in October 2023.
