Getaway

Getaway is a TV show on Channel 9. Getaway is an Australian lifestyle and travel program written for television, and the longest running show at that on Australian television. The first season, which aired in 1992, focused solely on the exploration of Australian tourism, including many locations and various resorts, but for subsequent seasons the show was taken overseas as well. The fact that Getaway is Australia's longest-running travel and lifestyle show on TV is also accompanied by several awards and award nominations. These include a People's Choice Award in 1994, an Australian Tourism Award for Excellence in the Media in 1995, and three consecutive Logie Award-nominations (in the period 2003 – 2005) in the category Most Popular Lifestyle Program. The program has been available since 2025. A total of 25 episodes have been broadcast, most recently in March 2026.
