Lewis catch up
Lewis, which is also known as Inspector Lewis, is a British detective drama created for television by Colin Dexter, the well-known English crime writer known for his Inspector Morse series of novels. The network ITV adapted Morse as a television series between 1975 and 1999, and Lewis is a sequel to the hugely popular crime drama. Like the original series, Lewis is set in the English town of Oxford as well. For the series, English actor Kevin Whately (Inspector Morse, Auf Wiedersehen) got back into the role of Robert “Robbie” Lewis, who was Inspector Morse's sergeant in the original series. For his own spin-off, Lewis has been promoted to detective inspector with DS James Hathaway, portrayed by Laurence Fox (White Lines, Wired) as his assisting inspector. Morse actress Clare Holman (The Crown, Silent Witness) also returns to her previous role as forensic pathologist Dr. Laura Hobson.
