Australia Burns: Silence Of The Land
Australia Burns: Silence Of The Land catch up
Australia Burns: Silence of the Land is an Australian documentary written and directed by Australian director and film maker Shane McLachlan (Made Like a Gun) about the Australian 2019-20 bushfire season, one of the most destructive in the country's history. The documentary chronicles what happened with the disastrous bushfires, but it mostly uses footage from actual firefighters and other professionals who were fighting the flames on the front-lines, instead of using stock or news footage. The stories come from fire crews and volunteers who were actually there, which gives the whole work an impressive and humbling element of validity that is not often found when it comes to bushfire documentaries.
