While Mrouj is in an American military hospital awaiting dialysis, Khafaji is called to his first crime scene involving an unidentified dead Iraqi discovered in a Coalition Authority safe house inside the Red Zone.
Khafaji goes in search of truths about his daughter, but is surprised by the arrival of Frank Temple.
Parodi and his men raid Candy/Sanaa's home searching for insurgents, but all they find are frightened women mourning Sanaa, among them Sawsan, veiled and disguised; after discovering his money is missing, Temple has Khafaji arrested on false charges.
Zubeida and Khafaji join forces in the hunt for Sawsan, but their lead goes cold; a brutal murder is uncovered in the Green Zone and Parodi starts to suspect Temple of a darker involvement in the case.
After being made an offer he can't refuse, Khafaji hopes to use the opportunity to get his family out of Iraq unscathed.
