Having come on his own, Damien explains to Dayan that he and Léonora have decided to split up and stop their therapy sessions. Léonora joins them and stresses that she considers this a failure. Dayan tries to calm down the situation.

Their conversation is interrupted by Mohammed Chibane, Adel’s father, who has turned up wanting to understand what led his son to try psychoanalysis. The conversation takes an accusatory tone.

There’s been a shocking death, and Dayan goes to the funeral. He sees Ariane there and confides his feelings of guilt to her. He meets the family of the deceased, including his father, who, in his distress, assumes that Ariane and Dayan are a couple.
