My Brother The Terrorist

My Brother the Terrorist is a British-made documentary for television in which film-maker Robb Leech seeks to understand what it took for his stepbrother Richard Dart to go from a regular middle class white young man to convicted terrorist with only the jihad on his mind. This is a sequel to Leech' first documentary, My Brother the Islamist. The first work was filmed in 2010, and the story of the sequel starts in 2013, when Leech's brother is convicted of preparing terrorist acts and subsequently locked up for six years. In My Brother the Terrorist Robb Leech does not want to take sides or make a judgment about good or bad. He is simply making an attempt to understand what his stepbrother was going through. Amongst the many people who interviews are imam and psychologist Alyas Karmani and Anjem Choudary, who was instrumental in Richard's radicalisation.
