The Chase Australia is an Australian quiz show for television based on the British program of the same name. The Australian version is broadcast on the Seven Network and hosted by Australian entertainer Andrew O'Keefe, best known for being the host of Deal or No Deal and co-host of Weekend Sunrise, alongside Monique Wright. The basics of the quiz are quite straight-forward. Each episode, four contestants play against an opponent who is known as “the chaser”. This opponent is the one playing for the bank. Each contestant is given the opportunity to build up an amount of cash by answering a series of multiple choice questions. The chaser will then get the opportunity to chase each contestant for the built-up cash by answering the same series of questions as the contestant in question.
