Is Australia as healthy as we like to think? In this SBS three-part documentary, British television journalist, documentary maker, award-winning medical journalist, and former medical professional Dr. Michael Mosley takes on Australia's fastest growing chronic disease, type 2 diabetes. Together with exercise physiologist Ray Kelly, Mosley puts his body on the line to help eight Australians get rid of their type 2 diabetes with the help of a radical approach based on a low-calorie diet and considerable lifestyle changes instead of just medicine. At the same time, Mosley and Kelly attempt to force real change by getting the disease and its devastating effects on the nation under the attention of the real seat of power, Parliament House.
