The Saguenay-St. Lawrence Marine Park in Quebec, established in 1998, protects over 2,000 species, including endangered belugas and blue whales. Its nutrient-rich estuary is a key feeding ground for migrating marine mammals, making it vital for conservation and biodiversity.


Ivvavik National Park is located high above the Arctic Circle in the far northwest of the Yukon Territory, far from any modern civilisation. Waterton Lakes National Park is located in the middle of the sensitive transition zone between the Rocky Mountains and the lush grasslands of southern Alberta. Waterton protects not only a variety of wildlife and their habitat, but also areas of native grasslands that are threatened worldwide.
