Chicago Med is a TV show on Channel 9. Chicago Med is an American medical drama series written for television and created by Dick Wolf, creator of the Law & Order franchise, and American TV producer Matt Olmstead (Prison Break, NYPD Blue). The show is part of the hugely popular Chicago franchise, which includes Chicago Fire, Chicago PD and Chicago Justice as well. Chicago Med revolves around the daily professional lives of the doctors and nurses at the emergency room of the Gaffney Chicago Medical Center. Like the other parts of the Chicago franchise Chicago Med quickly gained a loyal following amongst TV audiences. This resulted in a 2017 Young Artist Award in the category Best Performance in a TV Series – Guest Starring Teen Actress, and the export of the show to other countries, including Australia, the United Kingdom and Belgium. The program has been available since 2026. A total of 10 episodes have been broadcast, most recently in May 2026.
