Crash investigation Unit is an Australian factual series for television that aired on the Seven Network. It was hosted by AFI Award winner Damian Walshe-Howling, who rose to fame as Andrew Veniamin in the underworld drama Underbelly. The series revolves around the daily operations of the Metropolitan Crash Investigation Unit in Sydney while they investigate and uncover the causes behind car crashes. It was inspired by the New Zealand show SCU: Serious Crash Unit. The show was produced by Greenstone TV, the company also responisble for programs such as Coastwatch OZ, The Amazing Extraordinary Men, and Border Patrol. Most of the episodes run for 30 minutes, while a few special episodes have a running time of up to an hour.
