Pooch Perfect is an Australian reality program for television revolving around a dog grooming competition and hosted by home-grown Hollywood talent Rebel Wilson. The episodes of the show are based around certain themed challenges regarding the transformations of beloved pets. Over the course of a season, ten professional dog stylists compete in front of a panel of qualified judges to eventually determine who gets to take the $100'000 in prize money home. Just a month after the launch of the show in Australia, its network Seven announced that the format had been sold to the BBC for the creation of a British version of Pooch Perfect. This version is hosted by Sheridan Smith (The Royle Family, Benidorm) and produced by Seven Studios UK, and it very closely follows the concept of the original Australian version.
