In episode five, we visit two homes tied to ambitious owners. Saltram House in South Devon was transformed by Theresa Robinson, who commissioned renowned artists. The house's original Robert Adam-designed carpet is being conserved, along with a portrait of Theresa. At Hughenden Manor, Benjamin Disraeli's early political struggles are showcased, including a chair from his first election. The estate’s golden carriage gates are also being restored.
