Dubbed as horse racing's undisputed number one show in Australia, it offers viewers unparalleled experience and racing know how. The show covers all of the major and minor races throughout the year, as well as the Melbourne Cup, Australia's most famous annual Thoroughbred horse race. Seven's Horse Racing has its extensive team of experts and presenters to thank for its popularity. The Seven Sports team for horse racing includes pre-eminent Australian sports broadcaster Bruce McAvaney, Australian sports broadcaster and host Hamish McLachlan, and Michelle Payne, the first female jockey to win the Melbourne Cup aboard 100-1 longshot Prince of Penzance in 2015, a landmark triumph that saw her awarded the Sport Australia Hall of Fame’s prestigious Don Award as the sportsperson who had most inspired the nation.
