Life and Death Row
Life and Death Row is a British documentary television series produced by the BBC which revolves around the stories of young people who, in one way or another, have been shaped by capital punishment, also known as the death penalty. Generally each episode follows a central character or group of people, such as the two youngest men on death row in Texas or a young man accused of murdering his entire family of eight in their home, as judgment day approaches. Life and Death Row does not always focus on the story and life of an alleged killer. In one episode, for example, the series follows a 23-year old man, whose father is on death row after being convicted of murdering his mother and uncle, as he prepares for the execution. Life and Death Row provides a raw insight into the system of capital punishment, and its effects on criminals and victims alike.
