The Block
The Block is a TV show on Channel 9. The Block is an Australian reality television series that revolves around home improvement. It follows five couples who all renovate a house or apartment. With the goal of achieving the highest possible selling price at auction. Each couple gets appointed an apartment and a fixed budget of AUD40,000, and the couple that sells their project for the highest prize of all wins. Besides the each couple keeping any profit above a set reserve price, the winning couple also takes home a AUD100,000 cash prize on top. The first season of The Block aired in 2003 and the show has won various awards since then, amongst which are several Logie Awards for Most Popular Reality Program and a Logie Award for Scott Cam as Most Popular Presenter. The show has aired in more than ten countries all over the world and several local adaptations have been created as well, including for Belgium, the United Kingdom, and the Netherlands. The popular program has been available since 2024. A total of 62 episodes have been broadcast, most recently in October 2025.
The countdown is on with just a few days left in the final week, but with two MG's and $50,000 off their reserve price, there's still plenty for the Blockheads to play for.
