La Brea is an American science fiction drama created by American television writer and producer David Appelbaum (The Mentalist, Wisdow of the Crowd) for the American commercial network NBC. The story revolves the sudden appearance of a massive sinkhole at the site of the La Brea Tar Pits in the centre of Los Angeles. After pulling hundreds of people, vehicles and buildings into its depth, the survivors find themselves trapped in an unknown land full of dangers as they need to find a way to get back home. La Brea features a talented cast of mostly American actors and actresses, headed by American actress Natalie Zea (Justified, Passions) as Eve Harris. The role of her husband Gavin is portrayed by Irish actor and model Eoin Macken (The Night Shift, Nightflyers), while British actor Chiké Okonkwo (New Tricks, Being Mary Jane) plays the role of therapist Ty Coleman and American actor Jon Seda (Gladiator, Selena) that of physician and former SEAL Dr. Sam Velez.
